Full-Time

Building Specialist

Purpose: Ensures the upkeep, safety, repair and preventive maintenance of all Revenue Facility buildings, equipment and supplies and provides logistical support for the delivery of all programs, special events and services.

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly rate of $18.48, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, IMRF, vacation, sick time, personal days, holidays and a live well reimbursement program.

Part-Time

Building Supervisor I

Purpose: The building supervisor assists in the day-to-day operation and insures the facility is safe, clean, and supervised during operation. This individual is responsible for managing patron issues and customer service related to the facility, making sure that all patron and safety issues and concerns are address. In addition, this individual is expected to work early mornings, late nights, weekend, and holiday hours.

Building Supervisor II

Purpose: The Building Supervisor 2 will assist the Aquatic and Rink Operations supervisor with facilitating and managing the operations staff at Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex. The Building Supervisor 2 leads the operation of the facility during all facility hours when full-time staff is not present. This individual is responsible for managing patron issues and customer service related to the facility, making sure that all patron and safety issues are addressed. This position will be responsible for ice maintenance/resurfacing, opening, and closing the facility.  This individual is expected to work early mornings, late nights, weekend, and holiday hours. This position is subject to pre­-employment, post-­accident/injury, and random alcohol & drug testing.

Purpose: The Hockey Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, administration, and day to day operations of the hockey programs at the Park District of Oak Park. This position oversees the in-house learn to play hockey program, assists with the NWHL travel league and adult hockey programs. This position will train, supervise, direct, and evaluate part-time hockey coaches and officials.

Purpose: The Part-Time Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing reception and registration services to patrons of the Park District. Customer Service Specialist will work at various locations depending on season and scheduling need including Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex, the Gymnastics Recreation Center and Rehm Pool.

Special Facilities Maintenance Worker - IMRF

Purpose: The Special Facilities Maintenance Worker - IMRF will perform job duties at the pools, ice arena, dog parks and the gymnastics facilities as assigned. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for cleaning and maintaining facilities, public areas, grounds and equipment in order to ensure park standards are met and facilities are functional, safe and attractive for all users of the Park District. In addition, this position will be expected to provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating and enforcing Park District rules, regulations, and policies to facility patrons.

  • Age Requirement: 18+

  • High School

  • $15.00 Hourly

  • Job Shift - Must be available to work a flexible schedule as it may change based on need, days, nights and weekends as required. Up to 28 hours per week. This is an Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) qualified position. Mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends
