Practice and Freestyle Ice

Ice Skating is a fun but difficult sport and practice is key to improvement. We make it easy for our skaters to work on skills through practice sessions at no additional charge.  Practice times are split by level and offered at varying times during the week. See the Practice Ice Schedule.

Freestyle ice is for skaters in the Skate Academy program looking for additional time to practice their skills individually or with a coach. Skaters Pre-Free Skate and below must be accompanied by a coach. Skaters, parents, and coaches are expected to follow the Freestyle Rules & Etiquette. Cost: $10 per session or by pre-paid pass. Buy a freestyle skate punch pass.

Coaches on freestyle and practice ice sessions must be employeed by the Park District of Oak Park Skate Academy.
