Group Visits to a Park
Many of our parks and facilities make great spots for getting groups together, both formally and informally. Our Park Rules require any groups of 12 or more to secure a permit before visiting one of our parks so that we can ensure that there are no conflicts with other park users. For more information, visit our Park Permits page.
Oak Park Conservatory Tours
Led by trained docents, tours of the Oak Park Conservatory are available at a cost of $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children under 12. The minimum fee for a group tour is $20. Educational tours are free for Oak Park district schools and $1 per child for all other schools. To schedule a tour, visit the Friends of Oak Park Conservatory website.
Get Your Group On The Ice
Bring your class or group ice skating at the Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex. Skating is a great way to participate in physical activity while having fun and learning a new skill. This unique recreational opportunity is a great field trip or group outing as it allows people to try something new and exciting. Skaters face the challenge of navigating an ice surface wearing ice skates which require balance, agility, and body control to move, turn, glide, and stop. There is no better feeling than mastering the ability to move with speed around an ice rink and learn more about body awareness and mechanics.
