ALERT: Hazardous Weather Program Cancellation Update Feb 5

Due to the approaching ice storm ALL Park District programs on Tuesday, February 5 starting 5:30 or later will be cancelled. Afterschool Clubhouse will run as scheduled. All Park district buildings will close at 6pm.

IMPORTANT: Technology Service Interruption on Friday, July 10

There will be no online registration available to our web patrons on Friday, July 10 from 8am to 8pm due to planned technology upgrades. Additionally, there will be an interruption in phone and email service at all Park District locations. Customer service staff will be available at Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex and the GRC from 8:30am to 7pm for your convenience however we can not accept credit card payment for daily pool admissions or in-person registration.

New to Ridgeland Common this year is the addition of Spring Hockey Clinics. Each clinic will host different topics that can help your player work on different facets of their game by honing in on individual abilities. The clinics are either broken down by skill learned, or age and ability, to ensure everyone has the ability to take advantage of this great new offering. Participants in all clinics must be fully dressed in proper hockey gear.

Bidding Farewell to a Dedicated Oak Park Public Servant

Like many others in Oak Park, the Park District of Oak Park had the opportunity to work closely with Peter Traczyk on a number of projects. We admired him for his dedication to Oak Park and specifically for his dedication to all kids. Peter served the community with energy and commitment, and always looked for ways to bring people and organizations together. For this reason alone, he will be missed, but not forgotten.

All Preschool, Playschool and Clubhouse programs are cancelled for 2/2/2015. The Cubhouse Indoor Playground at Stevenson will not be open today. Additionally, the 10am Body Pump class at RCRC and the 11am Basic Fitness class at Dole Center are also cancelled.

Pitch, Hit & Run on April 5th at the RCRC

It's time to play like a big leaguer..for FREE! The Annual Pitch, Hit & Run will be held this year on April 5th at 11am directly following the Ridgeland Common Complex synthetic turf grand opening! This event is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun element of baseball.


November 2013 RCRC Construction Update

Turf install has been completed. West windows have been installed. Pool deck has been poured. Union Pacific will be installing a barrier on the tracks above dog park to prevent falling debris. Landscaping and site work anticipated completion by December 16th on field area.
