Frank Lloyd Wright Races



See mile after mile of visionary architecture, at your own pace. Take in the fall colors at the only race course where you can speed—or stroll—by eight different Frank Lloyd Wright homes. A family-friendly race with inspiring sights and community spirit.

The 2019 Frank Lloyd Wright Races, features a 5K Run/Walk, a 10K Run, and a Youth Mile race for ages 7-14. All events are on Sunday, October 20 and start and finish at Oak Park River Forest High School (201 N. Scoville Avenue in Oak Park).

Each participant will receive a long-sleeved tech t-shirt. Finish line snacks and drinks as well as a complimentary Oatmeal Bar are offered for all finishers.

FLW5All participants in each race will receive a long-sleeved tech t-shirt (shirt size guaranteed if registered by September 1), access to refreshments and sponsor giveaways, massages and screenings in the post-race sponsor area. All participants also receive admission to the Oatmeal Bar in the cafeteria.  After the race, each registrant will be emailed free pictures and videos of themselves at the race. You asked and we responded. A simplified registration process is available through RAM Racing. 

ONLINE Registration opens March 1. Online registration will close at 7:30am on race day, Sunday, October 20.

WALK-IN at the Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex (415 Lake Street, Oak Park) or the Gymnastics and Recreation Center (21 Lake Street, Oak Park). WALK-IN registration will close at 5pm on Saturday, October 19.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION Race day registration will be available in the OPRF field house beginning at 6am. Registration fees go up by $5 on race day.

Registration for the race is non-refundable and non-transferable.



FLW4Runners can pick up their packets on the dates/locations listed below. Please bring in a copy of your registration confirmation email that has the QR code, or have it pulled up on your phone to speed up the process. If you are picking up for a friend, you will need to have their confirmation email as well. 

Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex, 415 Lake Street, Oak Park

  • Thursday, October 17 from 8:30am-7:00pm
  • Friday, October 18 from 8:30am-7:00pm
  • Saturday, October 19 from 10:00am-1:00pm

The Frank Lloyd Wright Races are using the B-Tag timing system, a disposable tag that stays mounted on the runner's bib. The race bib and B-Tag will be distributed at packet pick-up. The 5K Walk is not timed, so no B-Tags will be issued to walkers.


Race results will be available online ( and via the kiosks inside the Fieldhouse when they become available.

Awards are given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place (male & female) for 5K and10K overall, 5K and 10K age divisions, and Youth Mile age divisions. Pick up your awards at the Fieldhouse on race day.

Any awards not picked up on race day can be picked up on Monday, October 21 at Lively Athletics, 109 N Oak Park Ave, Oak Park, IL 60301.

Public transportation is recommended, however on-street parking is available on nearby streets. Please read parking restrictions carefully.

Run three races to earn the TRIPLE CROWN medal

Participate in the Good for Life 5k, Hemingway 8k and Frank Lloyd Wright 10k Race and be awarded this medal at the completion of the FLW races.
