Take a journey back in time and tour the Stronghold Castle at the Olde English Faire in Oregon, Illinois. Walter Strong (owner and publisher of the Chicago Daily News) and his family built the Castle as a vacation home in 1928. The tour of the Castle will give visitors a chance to explore the Great Hall and the circular Library.
The Olde English Faire will include wandering actors who perform both onstage and off. Crafters and merchants will display their wares while minstrels fill the pathways and stages with melodies. There are food booths selling turkey legs, funnel cakes and plenty of other tasty morsels. Crafters display their techniques and offer items for sale. Transportation and admission fees are included, lunch will be on your own at the food courts.
