Wilmettes Baha'i Temple
09:00 AM - 03:30 PM
Long before he'd heard of the Baha'i faith, French Canadian architect Louis Bourgeois (1856-1930) believed that his mission in life was to create a universal temple of Truth as a gathering place for all humanity. The Baha'i Temple in Wilmette is a deeply sacred space and it is one of the only seven such temples built in the world, as well as the oldest. The Temple's nine gardens are part of this sacred space and serve as outdoor rooms for contemplation and prayer. Come explore the beauty and history of the Temple, linger in the gardens and meditate in the temple's sweeping auditorium.
We will head out to Wilmette's historic Homer's ice Cream, where they have been scooping homemade ice cream since 1935, for lunch and a treat. Transportation & entry included. Lunch is on your own.
