Museum of Surgical Science Trip
09:00 AM - 02:30 PM
Join us for a day of surgical marvels and breakthroughs! Founded in 1935 by Dr. Max Thorek, the International Museum of Surgical Science opened with the goal of promoting surgical knowledge worldwide. Since then, the museum has grown to encompass a historic lakeside mansion, collected an array of historically significant surgical instrumentation, artworks, manuscripts, and continues work to conserve its noteworthy collections and historic landmark building. Walk with us through four floors filled with extraordinary artifacts that interpret the prehistoric through contemporary healing practices. Transportation included. Admission is free on Tuesdays to Illinois Residents with valid Illinois ID or proof of residency. Lunch is on your own.
