The Park District of Oak Park’s Comprehensive Master Plan identifies a series of recommendations that will guide decision making and investments over a 10 year span. The last Comprehensive Master Plan, completed in 2004, provided direction that led to the much needed funding referendum, the improvement and modernization of most of the District’s parks, construction of the Gymnastic & Recreation Center, and renovation of Ridgeland Common.
Like the previous plan, the 2015-2024 Comprehensive Master Plan was developed through a community-driven process. It supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Park District and provides the District with specific action items and key steps necessary to meet the community’s parks and recreation needs over the next 10 years.
