Summer Creative Arts Workshops (know as SCAW) is one of our most popular camps. Over 100 young artists partake in this exemplary camp taught by professional artists or artists in study each summer. Students may pick from a variety of art and technology workshops. Classes include theatre, ceramics, painting/drawing, sculpture, printmaking, technology and more. The Park District of Oak Park offers a wide range of Youth Activities designed for kids of all ages and interests. From gardening and cooking classes to legos and robotics, your child is sure to find a program to spark his/her creativity.

Cooking Classescooking

Explore the culinary arts with the Park District of Oak Park! We offer a variety of cooking classes that suit your schedule. Classes are offered for youth and adults at varying locations.

Kids Cook!

Hosted at the gracious Cheney Mansion, the Park District of Oak Park offers cooking classes for children called Kids Cook!. Taught by professional chef Ron Martin, classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration, training young chefs in the basic techniques of various cooking methods and kitchen skills.
