Facility Schedule Updates

Due to the Annual Ice Show, Rink Special Events, and Facility Upgrades, the Paul Hruby Ice Arena will be closed the following dates for Public Skate, Noon Skate, Rat Hockey, Freestyle, and Parent Tot Skate. *updated February 8

No Public Skate: March 3rd, March 10-12, and March 17-19

No Noon Skate: Friday March 10, Monday-Friday March 13-17, Monday-Friday March 20-24

No Rat Hockey: Tuesday/Thursday March 14, 16, 21, 23, Wednesday March 15, 22

No Freestyle: Monday-Friday March 13-17, Monday-Friday March 20-24

No Parent Tot Skate: Monday/Friday March 13, 17, 20, 24


Public Skate Sessions

Public skating is the perfect way to spend time with friends, family and co-workers! Public Skate at the Paul Hruby Ice Arena at RCRC provides a unique atmosphere with excitement the whole family can enjoy! Our atmosphere provides music, skate rental, walkers for people starting out, and friendly staff. *Schedule subject to change.

Pool and Rink Combo passes are on sale! Gain access to the year round ice arena and summer pools at a discount! $90 for Oak Park Residents, $150 for Non Residents until May 6th!

Fee: $7 per person (or by pass), Skate Rental: $3 per person (or by rental pass)

Parent-Tot Skates

New for this year, parents and tots only!  $4 for children, parents FREE!   All parents must be accompanied by children and all children by parents. Parent Tot skate will return in September. *Schedule subject to change.

Noon Skate Sessions

Noon skates are a great way to spend a lunch hour, or fill some time during a day off school or work.  Noon skates are held every Monday-Friday each week during the school year. Look for our new summer noon skate offerings in the summer brochure! *Schedule subject to change.

Fee: $4 per person (or by pass), Skate Rental: $3 per person (or by rental pass)

School's Out Skates

Enjoy a day off school ice skating at the RCRC.  These open skates are geared towards students so grab your friends and hit the ice!  Admission is $7 or by skating pass.  Skate rental is $3.

Special Events

Blackhawks Night!
Saturday February 25th from 7:30-9:45! Frank Pelico, the Chicago Blackhawks Organist, will be onsite for this yearly event! Tickets to a Blackhawks game will be raffled right after the ice make. Winner must be present at time of raffle to win. 
Admission: $7 or free with pass
Skate Rental: $3

Home School Skates

NEW! The first Tuesday of each month (October-April), RCRC will be hosting a Homeschool Skate during noon skate for families with homeschooled children. This monthly event will feature a 30 minute skating lesson followed by the regular noon skate format.  A small area of the ice will be sectioned off during this time to allow for the lesson. Noon skate rate and skate rental will apply. Please contact the Aquatic and Rink Program Supervisor or Aquatic and Rink Manager for details or questions.

Ice Skating Passes

Year round skating passes provide entry to any public skating session (including noon skate) at the RCRC. Buy your pass online or in-person at Customer Service. Learn more about Ice Arena Passes.

Rat Hockey, Freestyle, and Skate Rental Punch Passes

BUY A PUNCH CARD AND SAVE!!!! Pre-Paid Cards provide discounted fees for skate rental, freestyle and rat hockey. These passes are loaded directly onto your universal pass (such as a pool or skating pass). Buy your punch pass online or in-person at Customer Service.

Outdoor Ice Skating

Weather-permitting, the Park District offers outdoor ice skating at Austin GardensLongfellow Park, and Lindberg Park. More information about skating at these facilities will be added as the winter season draws closer and can be monitored on our Field Conditions and Facility Schedules page.
