Things are getting SPOOKY this month at the Park District of Oak Park. Programs and events for all ages will get you in the spirit of Halloween!
Fright at Night
Friday, October 21, 6–9pm
Join us for Fright at Night at the Oak Park Conservatory. While creatures are stirring in the Bootanical Forbidden Forest, you’ll enjoy trick-or-treating with eco-friendly bags, face painting and more!
Ages 12 and under (with parent), 6–8pm. Ages 13 and up, 8–9pm.
$5 admission at the door
Friday, October 28, 6:15–8:15pm
Put your costume on and come to the rink to be spooked out of your skates. Compete in a costume contest, play chilling games on the ice, do some creepy crafts, and, of course, eat some candy too!
Fee: $10 or free w/season pass (skate rental $3)
Teen Halloween Party
Friday, October 28, 7–10pm
Get dressed in your coolest Halloween costume and head over to Longfellow Center to get your Halloween weekend started to the right way! Join us for games, activities, and contests. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the Costume Contest, so make sure to wear your most creative costume!

Eeek-o-friendly Halloween Masks
Saturday, October 29, 3–5pm
Stop by the Austin Gardens Environmental Education Center before the double feature movie in the park to make some Eeek-o-friendly Halloween masks! Come dressed in your costume and enter into the first annual Austin Gardens Halloween Costume Contest.
Movies in the Park
Saturday, October 29, 7–11:30pm
Join us in Austin Gardens for our annual Halloween Double Feature : “Casper the Friendly Ghost” (110 mins) and “Hocus Pocus” (96 mins). Both films are rated PG. The movies are free and open to the public- no need to pre-register, just come on out! For all ages.
Great Pumpkin Smash
Saturday, November 5, 4–5pm
Don't know what to do with that old pumpkin? All participants will start at the top of Barrie Hill and roll their pumpkins to smithereens. Free and open to the public; no need to pre-register, just show up ready to SMASH! For ages 2 and up.
